The debtor can cause the execution to be suspended, without requiring the consent of the claimants, upon payment of 30% of the sums due in the execution case. If there are two or more claimants, 30% of the amounts for each claimant should be paid. In addition to paying this amount, the debtor must declare in writing to the bailiff in the enforcement case itself that he will pay 10% of the debt each month. For a debt of BGN 1,000, BGN 300 (30% of the debt) should be paid in and the repayment of BGN 100 (10%) of the debt should be requested every subsequent month until it is repaid. The bailiff is obliged to suspend the execution in this case with a decree, which is subject to appeal by the claimant. However, the effect of the suspension does not occur with the decree of the bailiff, but by virtue of the law from the moment of depositing 30% of the sums on the bailiff's account and declaring to him that 10% of the remaining sums will be repaid every month. If the debtor respects the amount and term of the installments, the bailiff has no right to resume execution. In this case, the enforcement proceedings are not suspended at all, since payments must be made to the creditor, but the execution on the specific item is suspended and no other actions can be performed.
